Spread the Word!
This year, it will be required for all upcoming 7th graders to be vaccinated with a Tdap vaccine before they can enroll in school. The Tdap is due at age 11. Tdap is a combination vaccine of tetanus diphtheria & pertussis or whooping cough.
Texas County Health Dept. provides vaccines on Tuesdays & Wednesday with no appointment & also at Texhoma & Hooker once a month with an appointment. Call 580-338-8544.
Texhoma- District #3 County Shop: Vaccinations area available by appointment only on the 3rd Friday of every month.
At age 11 years old, children are also eligible for the 1 time dose of Meningitis vaccine. (Meningitis can be spread by simply kissing & sharing drinks.) This vaccine is also required to live in a college dormitory.
They will also be eligible for the 3 dose vaccine series of HPV.
